Event - A Visit from the Air Ambulance

12 February 2019

St. Chad’s School Christmas charity for 2018 was the West Midlands Air Ambulance. By holding a raffle, collecting after the Christmas play and holding a Christmas Coffee morning we raised £1068.80.

On 12 February 2019, staff from the Air Ambulance came school to give an assembly and to collect the cheque from school. They also brought the “pod” with them, which is an old Air Ambulance that has been adapted to show people what it is like to be inside one of their helicopters.

Throughout the day, every child visited the pod and sat inside. The children asked a lot of questions and discovered some amazing facts.

It was a very interesting day and everyone understood how the money we raised will be used to help others.

We had an assembly of the work of the West Midlands Air Ambulance.
