School Council
At the start of each school year, each class elects new School Councillors from those children who volunteer for this important role.
The School Council is made up of one boy and one girl from each class in Key Stage 2; with Vice-Councillors being elected in order to act as councillor when someone is absent.
Each Key Stage 2 Councillor has special responsibility for the Key Stage 1 Classes, and Year 6 have responsibility for all the children in the School.
The Council meets at least once each term with the Headteacher or another member of staff.
The School Council are part of the pupil voice within school, listening to the views of all children and communicating these clearly. They decide on which charities they would like to support throughout the year and think about ways to raise money.
Recently the School Council was involved in implementing more active lunchtimes and suggested what resources needed purchasing.
