Event - At the Black Country Living Museum

This term Years 3 and 4 have been learning all about life in Victorian times. To complete this work they made a visit to the Black Country Living Museum. Despite the weather, they had a great day.

They visited the chemist and saw how tablets were made; the sweet shops and some of the old houses. They also enjoyed watching the chain-maker.

But by far their favourite was the visit to the Victorian schoolroom, where Mrs Jones and Mrs Westwood got in trouble for talking!

Chain making was very important in our area.		Inside the chemist shop.
Learning how homes have changed.		The children went on a barge.
The Victorian schoolroom was a bit scary!		There was lots to choose in the sweet shop.
