Event - Year 3 at the Christmas Tree Festival

4 December 2015

Year 3 really enjoyed themselves singing at the Christmas Tree Festival which was held at All Saints Parish Church on Friday 4th December.

After the Vicar, Father Stand, blessed the trees, the children joined other local primary schools in singing Christmas Carols and songs.

This year St. Chad's children joined with the children from Woodsetton Special Primary School in opening the festival - Mr Rhind-Tutt, headteacher of Woodsetton, had invited St. Chad's children to sing with his pupils at the end of last year's festival.

Year 3 then sat beautifully and enjoyed listening to children from the Straits and Alder Coppice Primary Schools before it was their turn to sing on their own. They were the last school to sing and so closed the Festival with their favourite: Give your Granny a Kiss for Christmas!
