Event - Year 6 Trip to London
22 May 2018
On Tuesday 22nd May, Year 6 visited London.
They enjoyed an action packed day visiting many of the capital city’s famous sights. They travelled by train form Wolverhampton train station, before making their way across London on the tube.
The first stop was the Natural History Museum, the children really enjoyed the many exhibits on offer, but the firm favourite was definitely the dinosaurs.
They we made our way to the River Thames and enjoyed lunch in the sunshine, whilst aboard a River Cruise. The guide pointed out many famous sights and landmarks on the way, and shared many fascinating facts and interesting stories about London, even the staff learnt something new!
After the River Cruise Year 6 headed to The Houses of Parliament, they were lucky enough to have a tour of the Palace of Westminster and sit in on debates in both the Commons and the Lords.
The final stop of the day before catching the train back from Euston, was McDonalds on the Southbank.
The children were fantastically behaved and the staff received many comments on their impeccable behaviour throughout the day, they were a credit to St. Chad’s.
