Event - Reception Class Celebrate Baptism

On Thursday 14th February Reception class went to church to role play the sacrament of Baptism with Father Paul.

We had learned about Baptism in class and shared artefacts, photos and stories of our own birth and Baptisms ceremonies.

We voted fairly and chose the name Joseph Charlie Chad for our baby.

Father Paul told us about the Symbols of Baptism:

• The white gown
• The holy water
• The oils

We had parents and Godparents for the baby. We talked about the promises they make for the baby. We said special prayers and brought back the Baptismal candle to class and celebrated with a special Baptism cake.
