Event - Reception Stay and Learn Afternoon

Reception class have really enjoyed reading the story about The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch. So on 11th July we invited our grown-ups to join us for a whole afternoon of activities based on the story.

We made pin-wheel sandwiches and sailing boats; we wrote about the story and solved number problems; we made picnic food, painted pictures and more besides.

It was also a great opportunity to share our learning journey so far by looking at our books and seeing how far we have come in our first year of school.

A big thank you to all our grown-ups for coming and sharing special time with us. It was a lovely afternoon and the children were so proud to be able show what they can do. Well done to everyone.
