Event - Service of Light

On Tuesday 21 November the children in Year 6 who were preparing for the Confirmation held a Service of Light.

During this service every child’s parent lit their child’s baptismal candle from the Pascal candle. This was the same candle that was lit when the child was baptised. During the service the parent passed the lighted candle to their child to symbolise the passing of the faith responsibility from the parent to the child.

It was a very beautiful service and an important part of their Confirmation preparation.
