Event - Reception's Stay and Learn

On Tuesday Reception class welcomed their adults into class to share in our learning. We had read the story of the Rainbow Fish and had planned lots of exciting activities for them.

We sequenced and wrote the story. We used our design skills to paint and decorate pictures of the Rainbow Fish or create him with playdough. We made sail boats by joining materials. We investigated and recorded which materials floated and which materials sank.

There were opportunities to read and fish for words that we are learning. It was also fun to share activities inside and out with our grown-ups, such as the home corner, sand, construction and reading area.

Many thanks to all of the adults who came and made our afternoon so successful and enjoyable. A huge well done to the children for the confident way they guided their grown-ups, and made the most of all the activities on offer, to produce some super work.
