Event - Year 6 First Aid Training
19 June 2017
Year 6 received first aid training from St. John’s Ambulance.
The children learnt a variety of first aid techniques which may be useful to help others in need, both at home and at school. The children looked at what they needed to include in a first aid kit and took part in a first aid quiz. During the afternoon the children found out how to bandage up different wounds and injuries.
Much to the shock of the Year 6 parents, all of the children went out on to the playground at the end of the day with various parts of their bodies bandaged up! The children have all received certificates for passing the course.
We hope they never have to use the skills they have learnt, but know they are all well equipped to deal with any tricky situations that should arise in the future.
